Stepping forward...
The Drawer Boy gave its closing performance on Saturday, May 6th. Considered by the Montgomery Theater's artistic director Tom Quinn to be one of the most quality works of the season, the production ended its four weekend run with a standing ovation. Hats off to the cast and creative team for making the show a success.
Two weeks since the close of
Drawer Boy, another production is already in the works.
Butterflies Are Free, which opens Wednesday, June 14th with a preview performance, is soon entering rehearsal. The set, designed by Adam Riggar, is steadily being built, and costume and lighting designs are currently in the works (designers John / Nancy McClain and Adam Riggar, respectively). Also, Montgomery Theater will soon be mounting their children's production of
Aladdin. The show features both adult and young actors and runs weekends from May 26th to June 4th. I'll be board-opping this one, so I hope to see you there!
